Independent Scholars

The Society for the Study of Theology greatly values the work of independent scholars and seeks to support their contributions to the academy. To that end the Independent Scholars Group has been set up to provide assistance and encouragement for those scholars working outside theological departments and institutions. The group aims to share experience and create a network of introductions and opportunities to introduce these ideas on behalf of independent scholars. This would include providing greater access to: library resources, interlocutors, academic salary replacement grants and publication support.
